AMPA (Parent-Teacher Associations) - Languages in Schools
At the request of AMPAs, we organise language classes at various schools in the county.

The objectives of these classes are:
· To boost the oral part of the language through dynamic, fun learning.
· To seek to stimulate, motivate and get the children to participate in the lessons so that they take English into their daily lives in a natural way.
We think that children of P-3 age can start English, for at this age the children are highly receptive to new sounds and have no problem adding them to those of their own mother
tongue. |

From second to sixth year of primary it would be a good idea to aim the children towards official examinations. These are the exams of the University of Cambridge and they can be taken in Vilafranca from age seven onwards. The exams are called Starter, Movers and Flyers. Full information on these exams is available for any parents who would like it.
The classes are divided into groups as follows: 1. P-3 nursery
2. P-4 and P-5 nursery
3. 1st and 2nd of primary
4. 3rd and 4th primary
5.
5th and 6th primary |

Some schools, however, only run two groups: first to third year primary and fourth to sixth year primary.
The duration of these classes is the same as that of the school year and the curriculum for them is to be found on the programme we issue at the start of the classes (which includes subjects, objectives, methodology, social schedule, etc.). At the end of the year we issue the results and a report.

In addition, if some students, after finishing the school, are interested in
learning more, we offer Engish, French and German courses at the same school.
